Wire Tool

The Wire Tool is used to transport electricity between electrical devices.

Mechanics[]

Distances[]

The Wire Tool can pulled up to 30 feet away from its starting point. In this distance it can be re-angled 16 times before connecting up the other end. These numbers will be displayed on your HUD once you have plugged in 1 end of the Wire Tool and they will show how much is left from the wire. You can use a Wire Tool multiple times, therefore you only have to craft it once.

Durability[]

It cannot take damage. If either end of it is destroyed, it will disappear as well.

Behavior[]

Once placed, the Wire Tool can immediately transfer Electricity. If you hold the Wire Tool in your hand, already placed ones will be marked with moving white stripes. These stripes will move in the way Electricity flows. As of the December 2022, you can change the color of the cable by pressing 'R', a wide range of colors are available^[1].

Crafting[]

The Wire Tool blueprint is learnt by default, the player just need to craft it within the Workbench Level 1 radius using 2 High Quality Metal.
