Salvaged Axe

The Salvaged Axe is a costly tool for wood gathering. It can be crafted for 1 metal pipe and 5 metal blades. It collects 50 wood per hit. The Salvaged Axe has a higher yield per swing but a slower swing speed, with a slightly faster gathering rate (28 wood/sec for salvaged; 27.7 for Hatchet). The Salvaged Axe will give a random amount of wood for each tree. Some trees give a total of 500, some give 750, and others give 1000 wood. However, for most players the hatchet is probably the better choice. This is mostly because the Salvaged Axe takes 2 high quality metal and 75 metal fragments to repair when it is completely broken. The Salvaged Axe is, however, a great tool for raiding twig and wood buildings.
