Salt Water

Salt Water is a resource in Rust Experimental that is obtainable from the open ocean. Salt Water can be drunk directly from the sea by a player. Also, a Bota Bag, Water Jug or any other water container can be filled with Salt Water from the sea. Salt Water cannot be obtained from lakes or streams.

Salt Water, upon ingestion will cause a small amount of damage to the player, as well as inflicting the Poisoning debuff and making the player lose hydration and nutrition points.

Salt water can be turned into regular water by using a Water Purifier.
