I've seen your bot putting the values of clothing that add up to general values, and not the item itself values. Some members are undoing my corrections on this too. Why is that? Protection values of each item are more accurate, easier to compare and add up to other protections on the same hitbox. Besides cold, radiation, explosion and bite protection, general values mean little.
hey ather. so I was just playing rust with a few of my friends then I approach this naked. so being the rust player that i am i kill him. my screen goes to the loading screen and says i've been banned. It might be of a lag spike because all of my friends complaind about a major lag spike. If you can fix it please respond. (i was on the 1/3 rusty uber server)
I noticed earlier today that the bot doesn't seem to like the new skins. :) If I add them to an existing skins page, they get removed. Like for the pump shotgun a new skin called urban afterburn has been released, but the bot removed it from the pump shotgun/skins page.
Skins are handled differently now after Garry integrated the workshop into the game client.
From where does the bot take the protection values for clothing and armor items? The in-game client currently shows different values for all items. For example the hazmat suit has 70 radiation protection in-game, but according to the bot it's 14.
I checked a few items in-game and most of them are now spot on! A few armor items did have one or more protection values that were off by one. For example, the bucket helmet has a few values that are different to the wiki http://i.imgur.com/IyGLw0u.png.
I have also noticed that the in-game values are rounded off. If you put on the bone helmet (13 bite) and the bone armor (13 bite) it becomes a total of 27 bite protection, not 26.
Yeah, that is the tricky part. I think the in-game values are a floating point number from 0 to 1 and they are mulitplied by a scaler and rounded to get the UI values. At the moment I am multiplying by 17 but it looks like it should be slightly less.
I don't know how you feel about having the recycler in the item list? It's similar to the pump jack that its uncraftable but can be found at radtowns. I did add it to the item list even though I can't seem to find the .txt or the .png files for it.
The icon that I added to the page I made myself, but I can remove it also since it's not an official one.
Hey, yeah it is one of those tricky ones. Currently I generate the item list from the item game files, so by that definition it wouldn't be on there. But we would still need a way for people to easily find information about it since it is new and not many people know how it works. The icon is great, I can't tell the difference.
I was wondering if you would be interested in having a front-end developer on the team, just making some tweks and making things look a bit better e.g. the tech tree page. I completely understand if you say no. Thanks.
Hey, we are always interested in contributors. What sort of things would you like to do? You would have to make contributions where you can before being promoted. If you have css changes that you can mock up I'd be happy to commit them until you are granted permissions from the admin team. Thanks.
I think it would be wise to remove the blueprint info from all the Experimental Rust pages (within infobox and article) now that the XP system has made the blueprint system obsolete. Could you please update them for me? Thanks.
Note: Also, removal of the blueprint data entry in the infobox template.
